June Recap

I see a lot of content creators doing this on IG and since I am not so keen on posting reels on Instagram; I brought it here, where my heart belongs.

Why? Because I want to be more grateful of what I have done/accomplished (cultivate the spirit of gratitude). To celebrate my wins and losses, to inspire someone, to show life isn’t perfect and some months may be low. Be more intentional about how I want my months to be.

What I will share? Career development, personal improvements, what I have enjoyed over the month (books, podcasts, music, movies)etc.

What I won’t be sharing? Finances, because it’s a touchy subject, but I am always open to answering questions and sharing the little knowledge I have on it. Family and friends’ lives. I think anything that involves my family and friends it’s up to them to share and will only share if they want me to.

Will I stop tech content? Not really, I think writing tech content is hard, especially if you have little to share. I have been learning a lot of new technology. Most of it is too large to share in one article. My goal is to find a place to channel my love of writing. So medium will be a mix of a lot of content, but once I find consistency and life balance (do we ever get this though?!) I will split my content accordingly.

How was June?

  • I Started gym, yeeiyy! I have wanted to do this for a long time and I finally did it! It has helped me become more active and has made my partner and I start our day early. I am honestly not looking for consistency with this. I just want to be active because I work from home and never get to go out a lot. Some days I make it to the gym for 5 days consistently and some I do one day and find other ways of being active.
  • Book of the month: Gabriel union “we’re going to need more wine”. I am not done with this book yet because it’s not my kind of literature. I used to think Memoirs are but after I have struggled with two books now, I think it’s time to go back to my fiction. Again, I am not looking for consistency just to get to the old habits that I enjoyed back.
  • Podcast: The self-love fix podcast. Okay, let me tell you, this is my first podcast and I love it! I skip some episodes because they don’t resonate with me, but this podcast is a must!
  • Music I enjoyed this month: Manasseh Shalom’s new album: Ndoa, AJ Tracey music (listen to a couple of playlists with his songs and he is such a genius), Nonso Amadi (never tire of listening to this masterpiece of a man) and my favourite worship this month would be `come and tear down the wall by` Lee University Singers, Revere, David & Nicole Binion
  • This can’t go without saying, June had its lows! I doubted myself career-wise a million times! Imposter syndrome is not a joke, I swear! It has drained me, but I hope I don’t carry it to July.

That is it for June. It has had its highs and lows, but through it all, we are grateful🌼
